Register now to use the brand new University Bike Park

We are pleased to announce that the new University Bike Park is being launched on May 8th as part of a week of cycling-related events when you’ll be able to get your bike fixed, pick up info and freebies and learn how to fix your own bike.

Come and see the stalls on the library podium next week to get your bike fixed for free, attend a bike maintenance workshop or just pick up some cycle-freebies.

Basement Jaxx to play O2 Academy in support of Leicester Cardiovascular Research Centre Appeal

Dance giants Basement Jaxx will play an exclusive DJ set on May 10 at Leicester’s O2 Academy to support the University of Leicester’s Cardiovascular Research Centre appeal, with all funds raised from ticket sales going directly towards the new unit at Glenfield Hospital.


Members Simon Ratcliffe and Leicester-born Felix Buxton are currently working on the follow up to their 2009 albums “Scars” & “Zephyr”, and fans will be able to catch a preview of new Basement Jaxx material during their headline set.


The London-based duo, who have won Grammy and Brit awards, will be supported by dubstep producer Boy Kid…

Leicester Student Graduate Fair

The Leicester Student Graduate Fair is taking place on the 3rd November from 11.00-3.30pm at Walkers Stadium.

It is a fantastic opportunity to make links with graduate employers and find out how to land your ideal job when you leave University.

Buses will be put on from the University so make sure you check out the event.

It is open to all years and it’s never too early to start preparing for your career after you graduate!

Cinnamon Trust Dog Walking Volunteers needed!

The Cinnamon Trust needs you

Could you spare time to walk a dog for elderly owner?

The Cinnamon Trust is looking for volunteers to help with walking local dogs for retired owners in the Loughborough/Leicester area. Anyone with even an hour a week to spare can make a huge difference to an elderly/terminally ill owner and their much-loved pet.

The Cinnamon Trust is the only specialist National Charity for elderly and terminally ill people and their pets.
