BUCS Visa Oudoor Athletics Championships 2012

The University Boat race between University of Leicester Boat Club and De Montfort Rowing Club will be the highlight of the Leicester Rowing Club Regatta to be held at 12:30 on the Mile Straight on Sunday 22nd April.

Please come and join us this Friday morning to take part in the Sport Relief Mile at Victoria Park.

Grab a friend to run or walk the mile and do your bit for Sport Relief before you’ve even started work.

We are meeting outside the Charles Wilson Building from 7.45am.

The Mile will start at 8am, runners will cover it in 7-12 minutes, walking it should take 10-25 minutes at most.

We’ll be taking donations and sponsorship on the day so please feel free contribute.

Hi All,

University of Leicester Boat Club are helping out a fellow University of Leicester student in funding research into bone cancer.

They decided to do so by pledging to keep rowing (in a relay) for 24 CONTINUOUS hours in Queen’s Hall, in the SU between the Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd February 2012 - and they won’t be stopping overnight either!

Event starts at 10am with Holly and Ian (your student development officers) starting the row, come and cheer them on!!

So make it worth their while please get involved, sponsor them, pop in and motivate them and come…

Congratulations to our Ski & Board Teams.

The Ski team came 2nd out of 18 entries at the Kings Ski Club Midlands League Races. They beat Loughborough 1st & 2nd, DMU, Warwick & Nottingham 2nd.

The Board team came 5th in the Kings Ski Club Midlands League Races.
