Tomorrow at 9am voting in the Ripple Editor elections will open at leicesterunion.com/vote - make sure you know who to vote for by checking out their manifestos, or coming along to the hustings tonight in Ken Edwards LT3 at 6.30pm!


Voting is exclusively online, and opens at 9am Wednesday 16th May and closes at 9pm Friday 18th May.

Election Team - Paid Employment Opportunity

We are looking for highly motivated, hard working and outgoing individuals to help promote and engage students in the election process. Could you help us reach our target of 5,000 votes in the Executive Elections 2012?

You will be working the week before and during the voting period, for between 10 and 15 hours a week as part of a team, who must remain neutral (not favour any candidate over another) throughout the process.

The deadline for application forms is Thursday 8th December at 10am, and interviews will take place on Friday 9th and Monday 12th December.

So, what’s so good about being a sabbatical officer? I’ve heard that quite a lot of students here at the University of Leicester aren’t too sure as to what exactly the sabbatical officers do.  Undoubtedly they’re the busy bees of the campus, in the short ensuring that your University runs smoothly. Encompassing roles such as Academic Affairs, Campaigns and Involvement, Welfare and International, Strategy and Communications, and Student Activities – with job titles as confusing as those, they have to be important. Describing these positions isn’t exactly an easy job, but without a doubt it’s a ruddy good graduate job.…

Lots of exciting things are coming up politically over the next few months and your Students’ Union wants to do all it can to ensure that you have every opportunity to get involved.
