About Afro-Caribbean

“Today’s Society… Tomorrow’s Leaders”

The African Caribbean Society (ACS) is a student led network that exists at universities across the United Kingdom. ACS has grown to become one of the largest student societies in the United Kingdom. Its objectives are to unify and explore the diversities within the African and Caribbean cultures through social, cultural and educational activities.

Membership is not restricted to students of African or Caribbean heritage, but is open to all students interested in discovering the splendour of the diverse cultures from these two communities. The ACS also stands as a network that hosts cultural events and shows most prominent are activities hosted during Black History Month celebration.

Black History Month is widely celebrated across Western Europe in October & North America in February
