We have an exciting opportunity for third year students.With graduation only months away, the College of Social Sciences want your sayon what you would want as an Alumnus of the University of Leicester.
Alumni are very important to the University; they give usvital feedback on how we run as a University, they act as Ambassadors, they canbe helpful mentors to current Undergraduate students and they give theUniversity an enormous sense of pride.
We are in the process of planning how third year studentscan become more involved in Alumni activities.

Aneeka Ul-Haq Hello everyone! We’re trying to get all the science societies to interact more, and here’s an excellent opportunity!

I’m writing to let you know about a guest lecture ChemSoc is holding on the 7th December and it would be great if anyone interested in the BSS would attend. The lecture is called ‘The Flash Bang Show’ and will be presented by Dr Sarah Heath of the University of Manchester - it is aimed at A-level/first year Chemistry students so the content should not be very difficult and there will be lots of demonstrations so should be a lot of fun.

It looks really good, so anyone who’s interested should definitely go! It’d probably also be a great companion to Introduction to Chemistry for first years!
