About Burlesque Society

The University of Leicester Burlesque Society wants to help you make new friends, try unique and exciting activities and help improve your confidence.

We have lots of activities available to cater for every taste so feel free to come along and try any of the events we have on offer. We aim to please all of our members and are always open to suggestions for events.

Some interests we focus on include burlesque, cabaret, rockabilly, vintage movies, the costumes, hairstyles, makeup, fashion, popular culture and anything else you can think of!

We are planning on expanding the society in 2011-2012 and make it even more exciting! We are organising film screenings, vintage shopping trips, dance lessons, hair and make-up lessons, corset parties, bar crawls, burlesque performances and even hosting our very own 1920s and 1950s evenings!
