Rehearsals are TUESDAY evenings, 7-9pm at 10th floor of the Charles Wilson building (take the lift inside the foyer, through the revolving doors). They are usually held during term time in the run up to concerts.
There will be drinks and the pub quiz in the Scholar for those who fancy a sociable relax after rehearsals.
Subscription is £10 for the year (a bargain!!)
Our repertoire is diverse from Disney and James Bond to Puccini, Handel and Wagner. There are two main concerts each year in November and March where we also perform with the other music groups from the Music Association. Themes in previous years have included Opera and Operetta, World Music, Show music and this year a Night a the Movies. We also enjoy an annual Music Association Ball and hope to include many more social events this year including meals out, bar crawls and evening events. The Concert Band is a good opportunity for those coming to university who wish to carry on playing their instrument for fun in a relaxed atmosphere with the odd challenge thrown in!
The first rehearsal is on Tuesday 11th October.
