ULPSC first meeting of the year

ULPSC first meeting of the year

There will be three speakers who will talk about their own personal experience and of the human rights abuse that the Palestinians suffer every day.

18.00 – 19.30

Location: University of Leicester, Ken Edwards Ground Floor Lecture Theatre 3

This will be the group’s first meeting of the year so we’re expecting a big turnout!

There will be three speakers who will talk about their own personal experience and of Israel’s continuous breach of international law:

- Ismail Patel, chair of the Leicester-based campaign Friends of Al-Aqsa. He was on board of the Gaza floatilla Mavi Marmara and witnessed the fatal shooting of 9 crew members.
...
- Glyn Secker, member of Jews for Justice for Palestinians. He was the captain of the Jewish boat that tried to break the blockade on Gaza a month ago.

-Claudia Prestel, professor at Leicester. Her research focuses on Jewish history and on the Israel/Palestine conflict.

This will be a brilliant occasion to learn more about the history and the current situation of Palestine if you think you don’t know enough.
We’ll also have a stand at the end of meeting where you’ll be able to join the society and get actively involved.

Please come and invite your friends to this crucial meeting: the Palestinian people need your support and active solidarity.
