Welcome to the University of Leicester Students’ Union.


Studying at the University of Leicester automatically makes you a member of the Students’ Union, and gives you access to all of the services it has to offer. The University of Leicester Students’ Union is committed to the representation of all Part-Time students studying at the University of Leicester.


We are always keen to hear from our members, wherever they may study. So please feel free to get in contact, whether it is about NUS Cards, getting involved with the Union, joining a society or issues regarding representation.


Remember that your Students’ Union is here to support you every step of the way.


This year the Students’ Union has launched a Part-Time Student Engagement Strategy, which can be found at the bottom of this page.

NUS Extra (the national student discount card) is available to all students.

To buy one visit NUS Extra Remember to also e-mail us your postal address at nus@leicesterunion.com, if you can’t make it onto campus to easily to pick one up.

The Students’ Union has made some significant improvements in engaging with Part-Time students over the past few years. However, we understand that there is still loads we need to learn about the P/T experience.


We need your feedback and advice about your course and your experience at the University of Leicester.

The Union also holds regular sessions at Vaughan College where you can discuss academic issues with the Education Unit or simply chat to one of the Sabbatical Officers
