Democracy can be described as 'People Power' and this is especially true when it comes to Students' Unions. In the SU, we have numerous meetings, networks, campaigns, and guidance to make the changes you want to see.
The biggest change-making body is the Student Council where policy and campaigns are discussed. This is made up of the student body and includes Officers, elected representatives (like Academic Reps, core student group committee members), and the Scrutiny Panel. All students are welcome to attend, contribute and vote on the matters being discussed. You can find out more below on their individual pages, as well as information about SU elections. Hot Topics, a new addition to Student Council, is a chance for students to raise concerns they have on campus. These discussions will directly feed into the Full-Time Officer's work so your voice really counts!
If you would like to choose what Hot Topics we discuss in future Student Council meetings fill in this form.
Your voice is what shapes the Union's campaigns and projects so, don't miss out on the chance to use it and make the changes you want to see!
The next Student Council meeting can be found on this page.
