A Day at the Tennis: End of Term Tournament & Charity Fundraiser

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of tennis, inspired by the classic Wimbledon tradition of wearing tennis whites. This event is not only a celebration of tennis but also a fundraiser for the mental health charity, Mind.

Tournament Schedule

• 1:00 PM - Beginner Tournament: For those who have attended Monday's Beginner sessions this year to enjoy some friendly competition.
• 3:00 PM - Development Tournament: For those who attended Thursday's Development sessions, this tournament offers a chance to test your abilities against others at a similar level.
• 5:00 PM - Mixed Doubles Team Tournament: A thrilling finale to the day, where team players will join forces for a mixed doubles competition.

Prizes

• Winners: Each tournament winner will receive a £40 reimbursement of their year's UoL Tennis membership.
• Runner-Ups: Two runner-ups from each tournament will receive a fun prize to commemorate their achievement.

Entry Details

• Entry Fee: Tickets to enter each tournament are just £3. All proceeds will go directly to Mind, supporting their vital work in mental health.
• Supporters Welcome: In true Wimbledon style, we invite all supporters to come and cheer on the players throughout the day. Wear your best tennis whites and join the excitement!

Charity Fundraiser

This event is proudly supporting Mind, a leading mental health charity. Your participation and support will help make a difference in the lives of those affected by mental health issues.

How to Participate:

1. Purchase Tickets: Secure your spot in one of the tournaments by buying tickets on the tickets tab of our union page.
2. Dress Code: Don't forget to wear your tennis whites to add to the Wimbledon-inspired atmosphere.
3. Arrive Early: Get there a bit before your tournament starts to warm up and soak in the excitement.
