What is Judo?

Our Judo Club

The University of Leicester Judo Club is a welcoming society for students, staff & alumni. DMU students are especially welcome!

With a complete mix of abilities from beginners to black belts, all are welcome to join us in learning techniques, practicing competitive fighting and improving fitness. There will be opportunities for grading and competing for those looking to progress in the sport, as well as some light-hearted fun and socialising outside of the dojo.

Come and meet new people while learning a practical martial art!

Soon we will be starting a beginner's crash course! It will appear in the events section of this page.

Membership:

Membership to our society grants free access to all weekly sessions and socials.

The club will soon become affilliated with the British Judo Association and I will reccomend that you get membership from them so that we can do official gradings, but it will remain optional.
