Hello, and welcome to our page,

We are the University of Leicester LGBTQ+ society!  

We are a social and political group dedicated to championing queer students and providing a fun and safe community where we can celebrate our queerness. The previous academic year showed a boon in membership and support for the society, with our membership reaching back to our pre pandemic levels.

We have lots planned for this 24/25 academic year, we are happy to announce that we will be continuing our weekly catchup socials (LGBTea) every Wednesday and have a host of other events planned both alcoholic and sober events will be available throughout the year.

Additionally, our society organises fundraising events and campaigns for LGBT+ rights and awareness. We hope to be bringing back our annual fundraiser, Love Music Hate Homophobia, which has previously won "Best Event of the Year", it’s a night of performance and celebration where we champion queer and ally, musicians, comedians and other performers. Watch this space (and our socials) for more information.

We also hope to collaborate with other great societies as there is such a brilliant diversity of opportunity with other student groups.

Membership: £4 per year, which entitles you to exclusive offers and membership discounts!

Any additional costs: Admission/tickets for some social events.
