The Neurodiversity Society was founded with three main goals in mind:
Provide an open, easily-accessible space for neurodivergent students to socialize in an otherwise overstimulating university environment
Allowing neurodivergent students to connect and share common interests in a zero-pressure group setting
Create a supportive environment outside of the classroom for neurodivergent students that can aid in making university life smoother
Some Activities the Group Hosts:
Weekly get-togethers in the evenings - Both Virtual through our Discord and In-Person opportunities depending on the week
During these get-togethers club members engage in a variety of activities such as
Board games
Powerpoint night
Themed Events (Such as Garfield Night)
JackBox/Other Collaborative Party events
Arts + Crafts
Group trips to Leicester
These outings may be as simple as going to get groceries, or exploring the town
Museum trips
Visits to the local charity and interest shops
Going out to eat
Hanging out in Victoria Park
Compiling a variety of resources on succeeding as a neurodivergent person in university (+beyond!)
Providing support for one another - both in person, and online
