Leicester Glee Club is a place for everybody who loves musical theatre, in which you can find your inner star quality and let it shine!

We have managed to double in size since our formation, and are full of supportive members who encourage creativity and inclusivity.

During Glee's first year as a society, we won the New Student Group of the Year Award. We continued to grow as a society, putting on 2 showcases during

our 2nd year and won the Student Group Event Award and the Outstanding Contribution to the Arts Award!!!

We welcome everyone who loves to sing their favourite Musical Theatre songs in the shower, around the house, and at karaoke.

Please come and share your talent with us!

Our main aim for each year is to perform a showcase, which is themed (Our previous shows: GleeFest, Glee's Winter Showcase, For the Love of Glee).

 

How can I get involved?

• We will have regular rehearsals every Monday and Thursday 18:30-20:30 Percy Gee, 0.13 (behind starbucks)
• There is no requirement to perform in showcases, we are all here to enjoy singing in any way possible, so if getting on stage isn't your thing, that's no problem!
• On Mondays, we will focus on getting ready for the showcase (to be held in february)
• On Thursdays, we will have some fun (singing songs, playing games)
• If you want to perform in the showcase, then you must make as many rehearsals as possible!
• We will continue to have many soicals throughout the term, with some fundraisers as well (open mic night, bakesales, musical diner...)
