At the University of Leicester, we have a range of great value sport membership options available to support your sport, health and fitness journey. Students, staff, alumni, public and associate members can all take advantage of our state-of-the-art facilities.
Our facilities include gyms, pools, saunas, spas, classes, courts active life advisors, health checks, tailored fitness plans and more.

Team Leicester
A Team Leicester club is a sports club who regularly train and compete competitively in their respective sport. All students joining a Team Leicester club will need to purchase both a sports membership and a club membership.
If you are looking to join a Team Leicester sports club, we recommend that you purchase the Student Gold Sports Centre membership, as it provides you access to Team Leicester training and fixtures, as well as all the facilities and activities at both sports centres, and use of BUCS UNIversal.

Terms and Conditions
By purchasing a Team Leicester Club membership, I understand that I must abide by the University of Leicester ‘Code of Conduct’ (https://le.ac.uk/policies/regulations/senate-regulations/senate-regulation-11) and any corresponding policies and will act in line with the values of creating “the most inclusive sporting offer” in Team Leicester. Failure to do this may lead to a suspension or termination of your membership in line with the Student Discipline Matrix.

General Code of Conduct
All Team Leicester members must:
- Respect the rights, dignity and values of others
- Be fair, considerate and honest in all dealings with others;
- Take responsibility for their actions;
- Not encourage or pressure others into acting against the code;
- Operate within the rules of the sport including national guidelines which govern the sport
- Be aware of how their actions may be perceived by others;
- Maintain high standards of personal behaviour at all times;
- Conduct themselves in a reasonable manner relating to language and temper;
- Refrain from any form of harassment of others;
- Refrain from any behaviour that may bring the University, the SU or the Club into disrepute; Not use any illegal drug whether sporting or recreational when representing the Club or the University. (This must also be in line with Governing body rules and regulations.)
- Comply with all reasonable instructions issued by officials
- Not act in an unlawful manner;
- Abide by the rules and respect the decisions of officials, making all appeals through the formal process and respecting the final decision;
Understand the repercussions of any breaches of this Code of Conduct.
If Sport & Active Life or the University receives or has to deal with incidents that are in breach of this code, it shall:
- Impose one or multiple sanctions outlined in the below if the student/s are found to have breached the code of conduct.
- If deemed appropriate information will be referred to the University Cause for Concern Group who will collectively assess risks, co-ordinate support plans, monitor actions and provide precautionary measures if necessary.
- The individual circumstances of the student will be considered when determining a sanction for the misconduct.
