What is Futsal?
Futsal is an exciting, intense sport where defence becomes attack in a matter of seconds. It is a game strongly likened to 5 a side football but with differences such as kick ins, stop clock and rolling subs.
The sport relies on and develops good footwork, a high level of shooting and decision making under pressure. These skills are something that we focus on teaching and can be transferred back into football.
We welcome those of all abilities into our club who wish to compete, develop, play casually, and meet new people!!
Our Offer
In 2024/25 Futsal will offer:
- Weekly games in various leagues
- Access to frequent training sessions
- 3 competitive BUCS teams (British Universities & Colleges Sports competitions)
- A development squad
- Local League
- IMS Campus Leagues (Recreational Futsal & 7 a side)
- Weekly social and group events
General Club Information
-Coaching-

-Training and Matches-
BUCS games are on Sundays of semesters 1 & 2
Dates and times are yet to be determined for development team games
- team training - 18:30 until 20:00 on Mondays and 19:00 until 20:30 on Thursdays.
- team training - 17:00 until 18:30 on Mondays.
- team training - 20:30 until 22:00 on Thursdays.
-Intramural Campus Leagues-
The IMS Campus League is a recreational competition run by the club that is available to anyone who wishes to have fun and meet people.
Don’t worry if you can’t find enough people to make a team, get in touch and we’d be happy to help.

All players selected for BUCS & Local League teams/squads will need to purchase a TL Sports Memberships Membership | Sport and Active Life | University of Leicester & a club membership (£45) by clicking the join button on this page.
All players selected for the development teams/squads who will play in the campus leagues, only need to purchase a club membership (£45) by clicking the join button on this page.
