Scrutiny Panel - Your Role
These roles are seen as crucial to the operation of the Union and are designed to allow you to continue with your studies whilst carrying out your role. You will work as a team of a three to hold all elected representatives to account including the full and part time officers. This will include interviewing officers, writing progress reports including setting developmental objectives for the officers. In addition to this you would co-ordinate the investigation into complaints/disciplinary matters with regard to elected officers. We would expect the role to take approximately 5 hours of your time a week.
As a Scrutiny Panel member you will:-
- Gain fantastic transferable skills, including leadership, communication, project management and attention to detail.
- Gain experience of writing reports and presenting these at formal meetings.
- Opportunity to gain accreditation.
