We stand with our students.
We want to address the recent events that have taken place between Israel and Palestine, and the implications this has had on our students. These events have and sadly will continue to cause emotional and mental distress to those students affected. As a Students’ Union, we are here to support all of our students, regardless of who they are and where they come from, and we will continue to do our best in supporting those students who have been affected by the ongoing conflict.
This time is essential to build human connection and ensuring all of our students feel safe on our campus. Please remember, that the actions of those in power within Israel or Palestine do not necessarily reflect the values of the communities they claim to represent - no one in our student community is responsible for these actions and they should not be held responsible.
We stand with our students, not just to help them gain their degree, but to make them feel welcome and safe during their time here. Let us stand together, and most importantly, support one another.
