As part of this campaign, we have organised workshops, online games and opportunities for you to get involved with. We know starting university is daunting and is a huge transition, let alone during a pandemic! We hope that this campaign helps you to make friends and discover new interests. We also want you to feel confident to reach out if you need support. We have our very own Advice Service who can provide free, valuable and confidential support and advice. You can also reach out to the University's Student Welfare Service. We're here to support you throughout your time here at Leicester.

As part of our second 'Give it A Go' with societies and clubs, we'll be encouraging you to share and tag us in Random Acts of Kindness that you have given/received. We understand that it's a challenging time so our fantastic Training Team are putting on this workshop, which will help equip you with key knowledge and skills to reduce feelings of homesickness and provide a safe space for you to meet other students and form connections.

LeicsChat Podcast release: Beating Loneliness, Available on Spotify on Wednesday 4 November
Three students will be sharing their stories about how they beat loneliness when starting university. We hope that this will give you helpful tips and advice.
Escape Room: CSI Grounded, Thursday 5 November, 7pm
It's time for you to become a detective! Are you ready to solve a mystery? A murder? The suspects 30,000 ft in the air. Someone killed Avery Stone on Flight 9201, but who and how? Everyone on board is a suspect. The evidence you need to solve this crime is locked inside evidence packs. Solve your way through the clue, unravel the mystery, and find the killer!
Every Friday in November - Coffee & Chat, 10-11am
We thought it would be nice to host a weekly Coffee & Chat session where you can simply join in (bring your coffee/tea of course!) and meet new people. It's going to be really relaxed so there is no pressure at all. Our Wellbeing Officer, Karli will be hosting these each week. It'll be a great opportunity to make new friends and have an informal chat. We'll be hosting these on Microsoft Teams - you can find the links below.
